Is James Rodriguez’s Chelsea move still on?

According to reports, Chelsea are prepared to table a significant bid for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez.

The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu for most of the summer, with many report claiming he would leave the club in pursuit of more regular first-team football.

The 25-year old joined Madrid back in 2014 after a hugely successful World Cup for his national team. He impressed fans all around the world with his impressive displays for Colombia and those performances earned him a huge move to La Liga.

However, over recent seasons he has struggled to feature regularly for Real Madrid, with several world-class players all battling to secure a starting spot in each position.

It has meant that Rodriguez has often had to watch from the sidelines while others play instead of him.

AS note that James was close to joining Chelsea last winter when Oscar moved to China, however the playmaker decided to remain with Real until the end of the campaign.

The likely departure of Diego Costa is expected to free up more funds for Antonio Conte and the Italian is ready to redirect some of the proceeds towards the capture of the Colombian.

However,  the chase for James is reportedly saturated,  AS, report that Man United and PSG are also in the mix, however the Blues are positioned at the front of the queue. Which sounds good to us the fans of Chelsea.
