Conte is said to be unhappy with his current striker options, with new signing Alvaro Morata regularly leading up front alone with fellow striker Michy Batshuayi struggling.

Sturridge left Stamford Bridge for Anfield back in 2013 as he wasn’t getting enough game time at Chelsea, however, approaching five years on, Sturridge is now on bench-warming duty at Liverpool and may be open to a return to his former side.

Reports are claiming Conte has a deal ready to offer Sturridge and the club, but it’s not known if the Italian has approached the Reds to confirm interest.

However, other reports claim Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is willing to consider a move abroad in the January window, with the likes of Real Betis and Valencia particularly keen with sources saying the England international is open to the opportunity of playing in Europe as he looks to play more regularly.

Daniel Sturridge’s contract at Anfield runs out in 2019.
