Manchester United will be missing five key players from their squad to face Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend, including four of the individuals who featured in last season's 2-0 win at Old Trafford.

Paul Pogba may return to the starting line up after being brought off the bench to take on Sevilla in the Champions League in mid-week but he will be without two of his regular partners, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.

During pre-match press conference, Jose Mourinho confirmed that Ander had joined the list of absentees alongside Marouane Fellaini. Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Zlatan Ibrahimovic had already been ruled out due to existing fitness issues. Of the five who will be missing for the visit of Chelsea, Jones is the only one who did not feature in United's home victory over the Blues in April 2017.

"Ander is out," said Mourinho. "I don't know the final diagnosis but I know he'll be out for a few weeks. I don't know how many is a few - two, three, four, five, six weeks - I don't know, but a few weeks, for sure. Coming back from injury - nobody else."

Chelsea have won three of their four contests against Mourinho's United so far with the Blues turning over their former manager and his new team 4-0 at Stamford Bridge last season. They went on to win 1-0 at home to knock their foes out of the FA Cup before securing another 1-0 win in their first meeting in the Premier League this season.
