Antonio Rudiger reveals the first Chelsea FC player to report for training every day

Antonio Rudiger has revealed that Danny Drinkwater is usually the first Chelsea FC player to report for training every day at Cobham.

The England midfielder has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge since signing for the Blues from Leicester City towards the end of the summer transfer window last year.

Drinkwater suffered with a string of injuries in the first few months of the season and he has only been limited to four Premier League starts so far this term.

The 27-year-old has scored one goal in a total of 11 Premier League games for Antonio Conte’s men this term and he will be hoping to play more of a role in the first team between now and the end of the season.

And it seems that Drinkwater is focused on trying to impress Conte at Cobham, with Rudiger revealing that the former Leicester City star is usually the first Chelsea FC player to report for training at Cobham each day.

Asked who is normally the first at Cobham for training, Rudiger told Chelsea FC’s website: “I think it’s Drinkwater. Me and Gary [Cahill] get in at about the same time.”

Drinkwater will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a crunch clash against Manchester City at The Etihad.

And again, he celebrates his birthday today at age 25. Celebrate him at the comment box below!
