He's not the player we signed - Rafa Benitez speaks out

On-loan Chelsea winger Kenedy has not been in good form of late or even all season and his side's boss says he's not the product they signed.

Rafa Benitez

Kenedy was dropped from Newcastle United's squad that traveled to Watford last time out where they picked up a point after a hard-fought draw
Rafa Benitez was asked after the game on Saturday if Kenedy could be back in the squad for their home game against Manchester United on Wednesday night:
“He could be. We’ll see. He can compete for a position, yes.”
Asked about terminating his loan, he replied: “No.”

“At the moment we want to see the Kenedy we signed, who we saw doing really well for us during the second part of the league last season.”
“Hopefully, he can do the same for us during the second half of this season, too.”
“We have to realize that the key for us has to be the team effort, and it has to be every player giving 100%.”
“It’s true he’s not playing at the level of last year,”
“He told me the other day he knew he was not playing well, and these mistakes means that he loses a bit of confidence.”
“We tried to explain to him that the only way to change that is to carry on.”
