"I want to stay here" – Chelsea striker doesn't want to come back

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata on loan to Atletico Madrid has said that he wants to stay at his current club until the end of his career in quotes that make it very clear he’s got no desire to come back to Chelsea.

The BBC have quotes from the former Real Madrid player that make his intentions very clear.

After joining Chelsea for big money under Antonio Conte, bright start for Morata soon faded, until he joined his former club Atletico in January.

Since then he has been rejuvenated, and has found the net 6 times back at the Wanda.

Most Chelsea fans lost patience with Morata during a pretty dire spell at the club, even though it’s clear it’s just his confidence that’s shot.

On the other hand, other people may argue that if we’re hit by a transfer ban, our options up front as so dire should encourage more chances for the Spain international.

Given what he’s just said about the situation, he wouldn’t be best pleased:

“I am very clear that I want to stay here,” Morata said.

“Leaving here has not crossed my mind. I want it to be resolved as soon as possible. I’m happy here. I want to be here for all the years I have left as a professional.

“If it was solely down to me, I would have signed my contract with Atletico.

“It’s what I want, but there are contract matters. I did everything possible to come here and I will do my best to stay.”

The message is already bright and clear. We all know the end product that is Morata doesn't fancy a chance coming back to Stamford Bridge.
