Loftus-Cheek tells us Chelsea’s most inspirational player

Ruben Loftus-Cheek gives his thoughts on the most inspirational player at Chelsea.

Almost every Chelsea manger this decade has written him off at some point, only to see the Brazilian force his way back into their starting lineup.

It’s seemed certain for a couple of years his contract would be allowed to run down, but by forcing his way back into the team and then taking advantage of the transfer ban, he’s had another two years added despite his age.

He’s more than just a player though, he’s a massive influence on the training ground, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek pointed out in quotes carried by the Evening Standard:
“For the young talent, it’s important we have a senior figure to have at least a few who have a lot of experience and knows how to deal with things,” Ruben said.

Luiz renewed his contract at the Bridges recently |
“He’s a great character in the dressing room as well. So for him to stay and be at Chelsea for two years is great for us and the club.”

Well, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this sort of thing. With Gary Cahill leaving this summer, we are down to the very last of the 2012 heroes, those with a connection to the Champions League win, and therefore the “Old Guard” who came before.
